Saadiyat Beach Club

Huge exterior doors lead into an expansive lobby with high ceilings and corridors leading off to a gym, spa and a Library lounge. Floor to ceiling glass windows lead the eye out onto views of the iconic pool and distant shoreline.

Our private cabana for the day lay suspended above the 650m central pool. Cabanas line the waters edge as do rows of sun loungers and two other restaurants that the beach club offer, Safina and Cabana 9.

Saadiyat Beach Club Abu Dhabi is open daily for visitors with the option of a membership to regulars, allowing access to elusive areas of the club.

At the end of the pool is a sunken lounge area perfect for sunset drinks and aperitifs overlooking the beautiful Saadiyat Beach. White sands and crystal blue waters await you as you walk down the wooden jetty connecting the beach club to the beach. Saadiyat beach is one of the most idyllic beaches in Abu Dhabi transporting you to Caribbean style waters and soft, sandy shores.

As the sun sets there is no need to leave. Choose from alfresco or stunning interior dining to continue your evening. We opted for La Salle - the room is centred around a striking hand-carved, intimate eight seater wooden table which becomes an experience of it’s own. Showcasing the culinary artistry as well as the grander of the space. The new addition to Saadiyat Beach Club treated us to a 10 course taster menu. As vegetarians we were treated to a menu of burrata matched with aged balsamic, truffle mushroom risotto and champagne soaked strawberries. The restaurant fuses exquisite food with in-dining theatre by the waiting staff. They explain the story of each dish and always give the dish its finishing flourish.

After spending a whole day in the company of Saadiyat Beach Club, we only wish we were retuning for a second.
